ABOUT US

MISSION STATEMENT

Countryside Nursery School is committed to providing an enriched educational experience that allows children to discover their unique abilities in an environment that fosters creativity, exploration, and acceptance. We aim to build a strong foundation for future learning and success through a careful balance of teacher-guided and child-directed activities.

We make it our goal at Countryside Nursery School to positively impact young minds with a love of learning that will accompany them through their entire lives.

Since 1979 our goal at Countryside Nursery School has always been:

- to provide a happy and positive environment for your child;
- to help gain an appreciation of the world around them;
- to experience pleasure through creative expression in art, music, and drama;
- to learn to express themselves;
- to develop desirable social behavior while learning to deal with his/her feelings and those of their piers.
With these experiences, your child will discover that school and learning is rewarding and fun. Our programs include effective emergent literacy and math programs along with activities that focus on building leadership and communication. We also have daily Spanish language lessons.

At the starting age of 3, the world is open for discovery at Countryside Nursery School! Enroll your child in our preschool programs where we provide a nurturing environment for learning readiness. Your child can prepare for academic achievement and lifelong success here under the supervision of our experienced teachers who are all degree holders. Countryside Nursery School is also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. We make use of an integrated age-appropriate curriculum that encourages social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your child will have ample interaction with peers and educators alike with the small class sizes that we maintain: 1:6 teacher to student ratio.

You are welcome to visit the facility yourself to experience the large, safe outdoor play area with a variety of equipment for physical activity, secure building and grounds open for skill building, meeting friends, and discovering. To schedule a tour, please contact:

OUR CLASSES

We provide a diversity of activities that allow your child to grow and learn new skills. A typical day at Countryside Nursery School includes hands-on experiences with a broad range of materials and group times that help children to develop communication and social skills. The ability to formulate and express ideas and to problem solve are central to the opportunities for individual growth. We believe that children who are engaged in active learning and meaningful experiences during the early childhood years are children who gain self-awareness and self-confidence, learn self-management, and make themselves known as learners.
